I was starting to wonder why each puppy I got was better than the one before. But we're now on puppy #7, and it's unlikely that I'm actually getting exponentially better puppies one after the other. I think what's happening is that I'm carrying my attachment from each puppy over to the next one, so every one is harder to give up than all the ones before. And in fact Bender isn't the sweetest puppy in the world after all, and no one will adopt him and I will have to keep him!Bender had a great day - way more bounce in his step now that he's feeling confident. But I think he will always be a snuggle-bunny. He'll just need a bigger couch.
